Shear Adhesion Standard

In terms of shear adhesion, there are two types of tests. One is static shear test, the other is dynamic shear test.

Dynamic Shear Test and ASTM D1002 Standard

Dynamic shear test is specially conducted in sets of extreme testing conditions, which is a meaningful suggestion for engineers. There is a correspondence relationship between dynamic shear test and ASTM D1002 standard.

Static Shear Test and ASTM D3654 Standard

Static shear test aims to measure the ability of pressure-sensitive tapes to remain adhered under constant load that is applied parallel to the tape’s surface. Static shear test corresponds to ASTM D3654 standard.

ASTM D3654 Standard Tester

ASTM D3654 standard includes 8 test methods. The most advanced test method is Procedure H, which is processed under specialized conditions (at an elevated temperature and after a 10-min dwell time at the elevated temperature).
