ASTM F2029 standard refers to practice for making laboratory heat seals for determination of heat sealability of flexible barrier materials as measured by seal strength. According to ASTM F2029, a heat seal layer is critical to provide adequate seal strength. In addition, other properties of the material including the overall construction and thickness, have an effect on the sealing properties of the material.
